2. Casemiro “Rei Zulu” Nascimento Martins

There are no official records for Rei Zulu from before 1980, when he had two legendary fights with Rickson Gracie. He lost both fights.

Little is known about what Vale Tudo fights either had before meeting in 1980, as records were not immaculately kept at the time. Amazingly there is video of the bouts between the two.

Zulu was 33 at the time of his fights with Gracie, and had a 2 year old son. That son would grow up to follow in his sons footsteps. Zuluzinho, was less athletically built than his father, but still went into MMA. He is most famous for his 26 second knockout loss to Fedor Emelianenko at Pride FC: Shockwave 2005.
