#4 GSP Takes on Conor McGregor, McGregor Knocks Him Out
How Sick Would it Be if McGregor Knocked GSP Out?
There are rumors of Georges St-Pierre already returning to the Octagon this year, to face longtime pound-for-pound rival Anderson “The Spider” Silva in the main event of UFC 206 scheduled for the Air Canada Center on December 10.
While the bout is nowhere near as epic as it would have been had it have gone down years ago, when both GSP and Silva were still in their athletic primes, it’s still an interesting bout nonetheless – one that fans will most likely gobble up if indeed the rumors are true.
At this stage in their careers, although GSP hasn’t fought in three years, you would have to slightly favor the Canadian over the washed up Silva at this point. Silva is nothing like he once was, and a long break may even be good for GSP.
Let’s say GSP does beat Silva, the next biggest fight to be made would be a bout against Conor McGregor.
There is no issue for McGregor climbing back up to welterweight, and for the kind of money a GSP showdown would generate, I’d say McGregor would be all for it.
How shocking would it be if McGregor and GSP do lock horns and McGregor ends up knocking GSP out? That would certainly top the list of the wildest things to happen next year.
