Mayweather would also comment on Conor’s boxing and stand-up ability.
“He’s a hell of a fighter. He can fight. He can box real good. As far as stand up, he’s very good at stand-up fighting.”

Before you get excited, it is incredibly unlikely that a fight between Conor and Mayweather will ever happen. Mayweather is filthy rich, and would not come out of retirement to co-promote with the UFC, and the UFC is never letting Conor go. Conor and the UFC both know they are richer together than they are apart.
It is fun to dream, but this fight happening has about as much of a chance as CM Punk did against Mickey Gall.

In addition to accusations that Conor took some of his persona from Mayweather, some have also suggested that Conor’s fashion and dialogue are heavily influenced by “Nature Boy” Ric Flair. This was something Flair himself noted after Conor made derogatory statements about the WWE’s roster.
Coming from a guy who built a career copying my persona, I expected the type of class we get from Ronda or Anderson. pic.twitter.com/iVoC0Xva5g

Unfortunately a fight between Conor and Mayweather is unlikely to ever occur, in fact one against Ric Flair is much more likely. One day however, when Mayweather is 50 and Conor is 40 perhaps they will main event a show for Bellator, but that is the best we’ll ever get.
