Denying Top Contenders Title Fights

Since WME-IMG purchased the UFC, we have also seen many deserving title contenders denied championship opportunities in order for a more profitable fight to be made.

The big example of this is Yoel Romero being denied his opportunity at the middleweight championship in favour of a returning GSP being given the shot. It is notable that championship bouts being booked based on who the most popular challenger is something the “Muhammad Ali Boxing Reform Act” would prevent if extended to MMA.
