7. Can’t Distinguish Portuguese from Japanese
Goldberg: “speaking of Portuguese” (referring to the language spoken by the cornermen)
Rogan: “Uh, that’s Japanese, brother”
Goldberg: “oh really thank you. I should have known that.”
Rogan: “You’re the one married to a Japanese chick.”
Goldberg: “That is correct.”
One of more classic exchanges between Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg came when Goldberg evidently confused instructions from Japanese-speaking cornermen for Portuguese.
You would think that being 1/2 of the top MMA commentating teams in the business for two decades that he would get used to hearing Portuguese instructions coming from cornermen. And you would also think that seeing as though he is apparently married to a “Japanese Chick”, that he would be able to recognize that language as well.
