Really? Bellator just had their freak show BLOW UP in their face here…
Well it looks like Bellator have finally hit rock bottom, as their two biggest stars (in terms of name drawing power, not talent) have just failed drug tests. Bellator 149 went down just a couple weeks ago in Houston, Texas, and was perhaps the poorest mainstream MMA card in history.
The frail ex-champions of the UFC, Ken Shamrock and Royce Gracie fought in the ‘main event’ slot, and it was without doubt one of he clumsiest and ridiculous mixed martial arts contests of all time.
The fight was stopped when Royce Gracie, a multiple time UFC winner, blasted his old rival in the balls with a knee, and ended the ‘fight’ with some reasonably lame ground and pound. The fight was blasted in the media in the aftermath.
And then we had the co-main event of the evening. The ill fated Kimbo Slice vs. Dada 5000 disgrace. The two youtube fame street fighters duked it out in a theatrical display of terrible cardio and striking technique.
Now it’s emerged that both Kimbo and Ken Shamrock have failed a drug test for the Texas Department of Licensing Regulations (TDLR) as per MMAFighting.com:
