Let’s start with the moment that put Mike Tyson on the boxing map, his first title win. The year was 1986, and ‘Kid Dynamite’ was just 20 years and four months old. The result was a harrowing finish that showed glimpses of what was to come for Tyson.
Tyson destroyed Berbick, the bigger man, laying waste to the Canadian’s nine fight win streak and avenging the brutal loss Berbick handed Muhammad Ali. On to 1988, and Tyson now held the IBF and WBA heavyweight belts too.
