‘The Last Stylebender’ has turned up the heat in his feud with Jon Jones…
It takes a brave man to get on the wrong side of Jon Jones. So it’s fair to say that Israel Adesanya is either extremely brave or very stupid. The newly-minted middleweight champion is doing his best to antagonise Jones online. Now, he’s turned up the heat with a comment that could be a little too far.
First of all, Jones is the one that’s calling out Adesanya, not vice-versa. ‘Bones’ would have you think that ‘The Last Stylebender’ is being delusional here, but he’s not the one fixating on the other. Many UFC analysts think that Jones feels threatened by Adesanya’s rise to stardom and that he’s worried he’ll get pushed to one side.
The best way to put a dent in somebody’s reputation is to beat them in a fight. So you can see what Jones is trying to do. However, Adesanya genuinely believes that he can beat the legendary 205lb king. That’s why he’s poking the sleeping bear.

Back and Forth
It all kicked off when Jones targeted ‘The Last Stylebender’ on Twitter. He said that his rivalry with Daniel Cormier is now over and that Adesanya was next in line. Only he didn’t say it quite as eloquently as we just did. Jones wrote:
“Lol I formally release Daniel Cormier as being my p**sy, Izzy now takes the throne.”
Adesanya was quick to reply. He unleashed a stream of messages. First of all, he called Jones a pervert and then he said that he had an OnlyFans page so that he could pay off his taxes. The news emerged this week that Jones had to pay $1.2 million in delayed taxes.

Best for Last
However, Adesanya wasn’t finished there. He’s not afraid to twist the knife after sticking it into you. The UFC’s second African champion decided to bring up the pregnant woman. Back in 2015, Jones crashed his rental car into two other vehicles. Most people would stop and check if the passengers were ok, but not Jones. He decided to run away, leaving an injured pregnant woman behind him.
Subsequently, he was arrested and then stripped of his UFC title. It was arguably the lowest point of his life, even worse than failing drug tests. Three words: “injured pregnant woman.” That’s pretty terrible. Anyway, Adesanya decided to post a picture of his new car and wrote:
“Feelin’ cute… might crash into a pregnant lady later.”
No Chill
Some of you will think this is hilarious, while others will think Adesanya went too far. However, he clearly has no respect for his fellow UFC champion. This will only serve to stoke their rivalry and you can expect fireworks if they do get booked to fight in the future.
If they do fight, Jones would definitely be the favourite because he’s got an obvious size advantage. But don’t rule out Adesanya. He’s got beautiful cerebral striking that would make life difficult for anybody on the roster.
