Joe Pyfer will face Jack Hermansson in the main event of UFC Fight Night on February 10. This will be his first headline bout, and it will be against a UFC veteran, but the young fighter is confident, saying he doesn’t care about any of the record details of his opponent.

The bout could be huge for the unranked Pyfer, given Hermansson’s history against other big names in the promotion, including Sean Strickland, Marvin Vettori, Kelvin Gastelum, Jared Cannonier, Marvin Vettori, and more. Hermansson will be taking the fight against the ranked fighter just after making a three-fight winning streak that started in his September 2022 debut. Yet, Pyfer stressed that he is not a number person.

“It’s another fight,” Pyfer told Middle Easy. “He’s a guy who has a heart, lungs, and breathes air like me. I don’t give a f*ck about his number. He’s 35 years old, 10-6 in the UFC, he’s a tough guy. I like him. He’s a good guy. He’s not a piece of sh*t.

“I don’t really have that many nerves. I just understand that I’m pushing myself. I got to search in my soul to push myself to a new level because I’m going to give him that much respect.”

In line with that, “Bodybagz” believes he has the skill to offer to the veteran opponent, claiming that he could even be better than him inside the cage.

“I think that my skills are – bar none – better than his,” Pyfer said. “I just don’t think this is a terrible big step up like everybody else thinks because I’ve been in the sport for so long, and I may not have as many fights. But I’ve had my mind conditioned.”
