UFC 205 in New York is undoubtedly going to be an epic evening of mixed martial arts. The way the UFC has structured the card is perfect for MMA’s debut in The Big Apple. And who better to lead this historic night than the Notorious One, Conor McGregor.
McGregor had campaigned for a shot at the lightweight title after he became the UFC featherweight champion nearly a year ago. He says it has always been his dream to become a two-division world champion.

At the time, it was Brazilian Rafael Dos Anjos who held the 155-pound strap. But Eddie Alvarez knocked that guy out and took the belt away from him. Now the UFC is set to invade New York – Alvarez’s hometown – and the lightweight champ is ready to defend his turf.
The UFC recently released an epic “Live Like Legends” promo for the event which is set to take place less than a month away. In the video, fighters who are on the card like Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Stephen Thompson can be seen making their way to the iconic Madison Square Garden.
Alvarez is shown in a coffee shop while McGregor is shown in his trademark suit making his way up to the arena.

It’s a great way to get pumped for all the action that will go down on November 12th, and you can really feel the excitement that the video is meant to illicit.
Joe Rogan was on his podcast recently – The Joe Rogan Experience – while watching the UFC 205 promo and needless to say, the longtime UFC broadcaster and fight sports analyst was pretty amped to watch the short video.
Rogan did a roll call of the athletes featured in the video before going on to praise Tyron Woodley for the way he knocked out former UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler with one punch.

After giving Woodley his props however, he went on to call Stephen Thompson “probably the greatest striker in the UFC, ever”.
It’s really interesting to hear Rogan’s take on the Woodley-Thompson matchup as well as his reaction to other elements of the video. So be sure to check it out.
After the promo is over, the group immediately shifts their focus on the fight at hand between Dan Henderson and UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping. And that’s where things really start to get interesting as Rogan and his buddies react to every punch Henderson lands on Bisping.
