Jon Jones has Reacted in Hilarious Style to Alexander Gustafsson’s Claims that he Used PEDs for their Fight…

Jon Jones is the one that got away. That might seem like an insane thing to say about a man who is a two-time UFC lightweight champion. He’s also regarded by many to be the greatest fighter to ever step into an octagon.

Despite this, his misdemeanors inside and outside the cage have prevented him from reaching his full potential. He’s currently on the sidelines after testing positive for a banned substance after his last fight against Daniel Cormier. He’s currently without an MMA license, after being stripped by the California State Athletic Commission.

This hasn’t stopped the man they call ‘Bones’ from being active on social media. Now former opponent Alexander Gustafsson has accused him of using performance-enhancing drugs in the run-up to their fight way back in 2013. Jones has responded, and it’s typically hilarious.

Ongoing Feud

It’s all escalated over the last week since Gustafsson made a guest appearance on Joe Rogan’s MMA podcast. Since then the Swede has been involved in an online spat with both Jones and Daniel Cormier. ‘The Mauler’ basically accused Jones of PED abuse when he wrote:

“being tough is going true the champ rounds without the “good stuff” now step up and I’ll show u!!”

Both Jones’s fight record, as well as his image, have been tarnished by a record of testing positive for banned substances. Some might even say Gustafsson has a fair point. As soon as you test positive once, all of your previous achievements are thrown into doubt.

Not Having It

One thing that Jones does not lack is confidence. He is still one of the most dangerous men alive. He’s the only man to have knocked out Daniel Cormier. Even if he did use PEDs, that’s still crazy. ‘Bones’ responded to Gustafsson and wrote:

“Please tell me you convinced yourself that I was on steroids during our fight… please tell me you conviced yourself I was ever on steroids.”

Well to be fair to Gustafsson, Jones is currently serving a ban after Turinabol was found in his system. So, by the Swede’s logic, yes. That is evidence enough that Jones was ever on steroids. However, it remains the American’s word against the world’s.

American Balls

Of course, it didn’t end there. Gustafsson replied to Jones again. This time though, ‘Bones’ cut to the chase and sent Gustafsson back to Sweden in an Ikea box. He said:

“The only “good stuff” I used to send you packing was my big old American balls. Try spending a little more time here, maybe you’ll learn a thing or two.”

You have to feel for the ‘Mauler’. He came close to beating Jones in the octagon but ultimately fell short. The same thing has happened on Twitter. Say what you like about Jones but the man just has something special about him.
