When was the last time you saw Jon Jones fight inside the Octagon? It has been a while right? Jon Jones’s last fight was back in 8 February 2020, and it was against Dominick Reyes. Many thought the fight ended in a controversial decision.
Jones then decided to relinquish his title in order to pursue another title which is the heavyweight division. He indicated that it would be unfair for the light-heavyweight division to wait for him as bulking up to heavyweight needs a bit of time. As of the moment, Jan Blachowicz is the UFC light-heavyweight champion.
Many fans are obviously demanding the Ngannou vs Jones fight, as it may be the biggest fight to make right now. All time great vs the scariest heavyweight is the fight that people want to see. Jones even said that he is willing to fight as long as the payday is agreeable on his side.
Jones recently posted that he is surely returning to the Octagon and fight for the heavyweight crown. He also indicated that he is no rush to get the fight, saying it takes time and the right process in order to compete at his peak shape.
I know lots of them do, that’s why I’m not going to allow anyone to rush me. Becoming a heavy weight is a serious process. Not many people understands what it takes to do it the right way. I’ll be back when I’m good and ready. https://t.co/BqOLpugvhc

It is without a doubt going to be one of the most anticipated debut in a long time. An all-time great fighting the most powerful puncher in UFC history. Ngannou is also coming off a knockout win against the greatest heavyweight fighter, Stipe Miocic.
Although the UFC is looking to book Ngannou vs Lewis 2 first, so Jones clearly has a lot of time to wait. Stipe Miocic could also ask a rematch since he is 1-1 against Ngannou, or the UFC could book Jones vs Miocic instead. The question is, will Jones be willing to fight someone that is not for the title?
