Once again Jon Jones is the former UFC light-heavyweight champion. The difference is this time he may never come back to fighting, let alone the title…
Jon Jones’ ongoing battle against himself isn’t going so well. Historically, the troubled ex-champion has faced woes at every turn. Being hit with a DUI after writing off a Bentley, even testing positive for cocaine wasn’t the worst.
After being stripped for his part in a late night hit-and-run, fleeing from the injured pregnant woman in his wake, things really spiraled for ‘Bones.’ Facing a maximum of five years in prison, the ex-champion was lucky to escape any time behind bars.
Swearing he was a changed man, Jones was scheduled in the long-awaited rematch with Daniel Cormier. Failing another drug test for estrogen blockers, ‘Bones’ single-handedly laid waste to the UFC 200 main event.
Surely now he’d been stripped of the undisputed and interim belt, Jones would experience a wake-up call?

Jones Self Destructs Again
Claiming he was a changed man, Jones came back with a vengeance at UFC 214. Knocking out Cormier to end their feud, ‘Bones’ was again the champion. Feeling vindicated after all his woes, Jones was actually fairly humane in his post-fight actions.
That relatable aura would soon dissipate, as Jones popped again, this time for anabolic steroid turinabol. With a four-year ban looming, Jones’ sole statement on the matter came on Twitter last night:
Dude the truth is I would never do steroids, I put that on my children and I put that on my Heavenly Father https://t.co/i8EEbrQU5x

Check out the statement from Jones’ coach:
Winkeljohn made it clear everyone at Team Jackson-Wink is supporting Jones. Not only that, but they don’t believe he knowingly took any banned substance and are convinced this will turn out to be another case of a tainted supplement:
“Jon Jones had been tested multiple times going through the fight camp. He would not do something like that. The problem is the public perception that thinks he’s got the needles and throwing steroids in his arm.
Don’t get me wrong, I understand Jon has messed up in the past. He’s got caught drinking and driving, he’s done some bad things. He’s done things that are idiotic but he’s grown up. As far as taking steroids, what he’s been busted for is taking a Viagra or Cialis from Mexico that had something in it, that’s not steroids, but it came up that way.”

If I had to take a guess it’s going to come out that it’s something he took to rehydrate himself after his cut.
Some kind of substance that he thought wasn’t a supplement. Something somebody said “hey this makes you feel better, it’s got electrolytes in it and stuff” but it was tainted. Everybody thinks “oh that’s an excuse” but no really that’s it, that’s what it’s going to be.”
A lot of these supplement companies they have a tendency sometimes to throw things in there. I think if they find out who the supplement company was, and which one was tainted, they have a big lawsuit on their hands because this has changed Jon Jones’ life and it’s really not his fault
