Looks like it’s not over for the monster just yet…

One of Europe’s biggest MMA promotions is at it again. Similar to the good old days of Japanese MMA, Poland’s premier organization loves a freakshow. Since Martin Lewandowski and Maciej Kawulski founded the promotion in 2004, they’ve put on some seriously wacky shows.

Although they like some craziness, KSW has also housed many talents that went on to or once fought for the UFC. Among others, Karolina Kowalkiewicz, Goran Reljic and Jan Blachowicz have been KSW champs.

Then There’s The Freaky Stuff

Obviously putting meet in seats is of high importance. As such, KSW needs to call in some of the more circus-type attractions. Among those crazy calibre competitors are former worlds strongest man Marius Pudzianowski, rapper with tattooed eyeballs ‘Popek Monster’ and ex-bodybuilder Robert Burneika.

You’ll remember Popek and Pudzianowski already faced off, with the ex-strongman earning a quick knockout win. Looks like Popek wants another pop, as he’ll now face the gigantic Burneika next. Here’s the announcement followed by Popek’s loss to Pudzian:

KSW 39 May 27th

Fans should mark this date in their diaries, as Pudzianowski will also compete on the card. Just in case you’ve forgotten what happened the last time Pudzian and Popek fought, here’s the video of them facing each other:

Excuse the Polish rock music.

Pudz is yet to have an opponent named for the event, but here’s a look at Popek’s fight, Robert Burneika’s first MMA fight in 2012. Aside from a follow up in 2013, which Burneika also won, he has been inactive since.

Again, this video contains terrible music.

Popek, Pudzin & Burneika

Obviously, the next big question is why haven’t Burneika and Pudzianowski faced off? Perhaps if Robert can beat the inked up/self-scarred ‘Monster’ in May, then we’ll (finally) get to see that fight.
