Here we go again…
Waiting for us tomorrow in New York City is a great line up of fights. Featured in the UFC 210 pay-per-view is a light-heavyweight rematch between Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson. Returning from a bit of downtime, ‘DC’ fights for the first time since UFC 200.
After defeating ‘Rumble’ at UFC 187 for the belt stripped from Jon Jones, ‘DC’ went on to defend against Alexander Gustafsson. Once ‘Bones’ was back in action, he was scheduled to rematch Cormier at UFC 200. Then came the infamous USADA bust.

Jones Was Gone, Again
Although Jones eventually got hit with a one year suspension for his alleged ‘sex pills’ hobby, there was some damage done. Another year away from fighting, and from the inevitable rematch with Cormier.
As if all this wasn’t already crazy enough, with Jones’ drug habits and car wrecking parties in the background, Cormier got his own taste of controversy today.
All About That Cake & Chicken, Huh?
Hitting the scales at 206.2 pounds, Cormier rushed off backstage for two minutes. When he returned, those 1.2 extra pounds had gone. Noticing he’d held the towel during the weigh-ins, fans began accusing Cormier of cheating.
Jones, not surprisingly, is fuelling that fire. During his first UFC media appearance in months, ‘Bones’ blasted ‘DC’ today, as per Ariel Helwani:
OK…
Without stating the obvious, Jones is not exactly in prime position to make that statement given recent events, but OK. As the rivalry continues to burn between ‘Bones’ and Cormier, the ex-champ assured ‘DC’ he won’t be entering the octagon after the UFC 210 main event:
Jones on Cormier saying he should be embarrassed to be here: “that’s the stupidest shit I have ever heard. Jones says he feels like he has unfinished business with Rumble Johnson, not Cormier. Cormier is “like a Stephan Bonner to me.” …
So it looks like Jon Jones, the ultimate heel, is back ladies and gents. The man everyone loves to hate, but nobody has been able to beat so far, is reportedly coming back this summer. Watch out!
