Unfortunately, Till suffered a collar bone injury that forced him to withdraw from the fight. Adesanya’s team were interested in facing Till had he beaten Vettori but that is not the case right now. Till has suffered a lot of setbacks over the course of his UFC career but hoping for a speedy recovery.
After receiving a dominating loss against Derek Brunson just a few weeks ago, Kevin Holland is now stepping in as a short notice replacement for Darren Till against Marvin Vettori. Holland who had a tremendous 2020 year where he went 5-0 in fights, is now stepping up once more to face a highly ranked Marvin Vettori.
Dana White was disappointed in Holland’s performance against Brunson but stepping up and beating Vettori would bring him back to White’s good side. Since, In a way he saved the main-event by fighting just a few weeks after his loss. Although this is not the first time that Holland stepped in on short notice, it is still impressive of Holland’s fight activity.

Vettori was one of the opponents that Adesanya had a close fight with, even go as far as a split decision. He certainly has the tools to dethrone Adesanya but it also worth noting that both fighters have improved tremendously since they fought so it would be interesting how a potential rematch would play out.
Meanwhile, Holland is looking to be the next Cowboy Cerrone where he would fight as often as possible. Holland likes to ride on a momentum, so a win here could be a start of a great 2021 year.
Stylistically, Vettori has great striking as well so it would be fireworks. Holland had trouble with Brunson’s wrestling, and Vettori could also choose to take him down since he has a brown belt in BJJ.
