Filipino Boxing Legend, Manny Pacquiao is now a Champion in Recess issued by the WBA. Cuban Olympian, Yordenis Ugas who was the WBA (Regular) Champion is now promoted as the Super Welterweight Champion.
The Filipino Boxer Manny Pacquiao has been inactive inside the ring for quite a while now. His last fight was against Keith Thurman and it was more than a year ago. It would make sense for the WBA to move on. Although Pacquiao has said that he plans to fight twice this year but no official announcement on his next fight.
His first rumored fight was the Conor McGregor clash but with the KO loss of McGregor in the UFC, it may unlikely the fight might happen. Now he has said in a local interview that it does not matter who his next opponent is, he is not ducking anybody. If the Ryan Garcia wants to fight, they can make it happen. It can also either be Errol Spence Jr or Terence Crawford for a title unification.
Meanwhile, Ugas also fought on the Pacquiao vs Thurman card and beat Omar Figueroa Jr. Since then he has fought two more times and ended up winning the WBA Regular Welterweight Champion.
Errol Spence Jr could potentially pursue in fighting Ugas, as he said in his past interviews. The winner of the fight could potentially become the WBC, WBA and IBF Champion. One more belt will become the coveted Undisputed Welterweight Champion.
