Mayweather might be DONE with BOXING

After not performing the way fans expected, Mayweather said that he might be done for the sport and that includes exhibition. He added that he did not need the money and it is that he is already well off but that he chose to fight Paul mainly because he loves it.

Also no one could blame Floyd for not knocking out Logan Paul. Mayweather is not known for being a knockout puncher and is already retired. He is fighting a natural heavyweight that was good in clinching, basically Paul’s goal in the second half was to survive.

“When I come to an exhibition or come out and box have some fun, I do it cos I wanna do it, not because I have to do it. Whereas Pacquiao at his age, which is sad that he has to fight.

“I’m financially set. I wanna let everybody know this. You can hear so many different stories: ‘Floyd to do this.’ No, I’m well off.”

He certainly mentioned his former rival, Manny Pacquiao who is fighting Errol Spence Jr. A fight that many are expecting Spence to win easily. Pacquiao is already past his prime and has already proven that he is one of the greatest boxers of his era. Even Floyd Mayweather went on to say the Pacquiao is the greatest opponent he faced throughout his career.

Pacquiao has not fought for more than 2 years and is fighting the number 1 welterweight that is not only undefeated but a much bigger and stronger guy. On paper, it is a dangerous fight for Pacquiao, considering he is already 42 years old.

Mayweather may have a point that health is always the number one priority and there are some things that even money cannot buy. Pacquiao needs to make sure whether he still has the level to compete with the best guys in the division. It would be unfortunate if he leaves the sport, a little too late. There is nothing left to prove for Pacquiao’s legacy.
