Mike Perry is targeting another name for his next bare-knuckle fight. After calling out Anthony Pettis, the “King of Violence” now says Jorge Masvidal is the best opponent for him.
In a recent interview with The MMA Hour, Perry explained that he didn’t initially make the callout to the veteran fighter out of respect. Nonetheless, the BKFC fighter believes that Masvidal can bring something special to the table due to his bare-knuckle experience.
“I have the utmost respect for Jorge Masvidal,” Perry said. “That’s kind of why that callout, that name has never happened. I did see him at his promotion at a fight, and we talked about it. I was little bit drunk, and I was like, ‘The people would really love to see us, and all love, and we’d make a bag for the family and it’s all just for the sport.’
“Obviously, he’s done, and he’s already done these great things. I grew up watching him and Kimbo [Slice] on YouTube. I grew up and seen him. Who’s the only other person who’s not in BKFC, but has experience in bare-knuckle boxing that would be a megafight.”
On the other hand, although Perry has put Masvidal at the top of his priorities, the fighter is also open to other fighters entering the ring with him. One of them includes Dillon Danis, who made a callout to Perry. Despite losing to Logan Paul in October, Perry said Danis would be welcomed in the BKFC ring, especially if he could bring attention to their promotion fight.
“If he is interested, and he would start talking that vulgar stuff to me and get billions of views on social media for people to talk about our fight, and the whole world would want to watch, I’m down for that,” said Perry.
The two join the list of names Perry recently called out and is considering fighting in his future bouts at BKFC. Weeks ago, the King of Violence also called out and expressed his intention to fight Conor McGregor, Jake Paul, Logan Paul, and Darren Till.
