Donald Cerrone KO
McGregor cut a much more respectful figure than we’d become accustomed to seeing in recent years when he went up against Donald Cerrone at UFC 246.
Partly trying to make amends for his past transgressions, while also having a genuine like for ‘Cowboy’, the Irish superstar kept his trash-talking to a minimum, but nonetheless he still predicted ‘Cowboy’s’ demise.
“He has my respect,” McGregor said. “Although there will be blood spilled on Jan. 18, it will not be bad blood. The ‘Mystic Mac’ prediction will be a KO.”
As it turned out the fight only lasted 40 seconds, but McGregor’s prediction that there would be blood spilled proved accurate as he managed to break both Cerrone’s nose and orbital bone with shoulder strikes en-route to the stunningly swift TKO stoppage.
