UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor decisioned Nate Diaz in their highly-anticipated rematch which took place over the weekend in the main event at UFC 202, witness to a packed crowd at the brand new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Irishman earned a 48-47 (twice), 47-47 Majority Decision in a gruelling bout but his opponent Diaz said McGregor should have been deducted a point for running.

After a vicious flurry of strikes at the end of round three, wherein Diaz nearly stopped McGregor with a volley of punches, ‘The Notorious’ began to conserve energy and at times appeared to disengage from Diaz while constantly looking up at the clock.

Nate Diaz believes Conor McGregor should have been deducted a point for running

“In Pride, he would have gotten a yellow card for that type of thing,” said Diaz. “He ran the whole fight. Did you see me chasing him around that whole thing? I’m like, ‘Hey where are you going. You’re scared to engage.”

Diaz obviously felt he won three of the five rounds and did enough to earn the victory, so you definitely have to feel for the guy who just got through an extremely difficult fight only to lose by a razor thin decision that could have gone either way.
