At UFC 202 Anthony “Rumble” Johnson knocked out #2 ranked light heavyweight Glover Texeira in just 13 seconds, seemingly solidifying himself as Daniel Cormier’s next challenger.
After separating Glover’s tooth from his gums, and handing the Brazilian just the second knockout loss of his career, Johnson called out Daniel Cormier who was sitting ringside.
Johnson complimented Cormier, and seemingly defended him against the boos reigning down on him from the Las Vegas crowd. It seemed as though a verbal agreement for the next championship fight had been made.

But all of a sudden things don’t seem so certain. Jon Jones, who had been removed from UFC ranking ballots due to his drug test failure at UFC 200, is possibly back in the light heavyweight title mix despite a looming suspension.

Jones and Dana White have both made public statements that Jon Jones might not be facing a 2-year suspension as everyone believed he was. Jones, and his lawyers, are rumoured to have found a sexual aid supplement which just so happens to carry the two drugs that Jones tested positive for.
While Jones did not report to USADA having taken the substance in question, the tainted supplement defence could get Jones down from a 2-year suspension to a 6-month one, and potentially right back in the mix for a title shot at Cormier.
