Bellator’s Michael Page has predicted that should he and Conor McGregor ever face each other that he would put the Irishman to sleep. Considering the damage that Page has done to his previous opponents however, just going to sleep makes it sound like he would let Conor off easy.
In his last fight, Page landed one of the most vicious knockouts in recent memory over Evangelista Santos. Page hit Santos with a hard knee that ended up fracturing his skull and requiring surgery. Doctors who worked on Santos described the injury as being nearly fatal.
Bellator’s welterweight title picture is beginning to look very interesting, especially with the recent signing of Rory MacDonald and the emergence of Michael Page as a star.
Current welterweight champion Andrey Koreshkov has been nearly perfect in his MMA career, only having lost to Ben Askren back at Bellator 97. Koreshkov derailed Benson Henderson’s Bellator welcome party by defeating the former UFC champion back at Bellator 153.
One can only assume that Page will soon be in line for a title shot, assuming he gets by Fernando Gonzales on November 19th.
