Interesting…
Following his failed drug test for Marijuana, Kelvin Gastelum was removed from one of the best fights at UFC 212. Gastelum was scheduled to face former middleweight champion Anderson Silva in the June 3 co-main event.
Unfortunately USADA saw this fight fall apart, and now ‘The Spider’ is still waiting for a replacement.
Big Rumoured Fight
Although originally scheduled for a 185-pound bout, some intriguing reports have surfaced this week. According to LowKick MMA, Silva is being considered for a catchweight bout with Ovince St-Preux.
OSP is fresh off a submission win over Marcos Rogerio de Lima last week at UFC Fight Night 108 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Silva vs. OSP?
Having turned down fight with Luke Rockhold and Vitor Belfort, is a bout with OSP more appealing? Perhaps not to the fans, but Silva’s form has been arguably declining over the last four years.
Maybe St-Preux is perceived as less of a threat, albeit far less marketable than the other fights that were available.
