Like Floyd Mayweather, “The Notorious” Conor McGregor relishes in social media, promoting himself and his brand while showing a lot of love to fans.

He posts everything from his riches and lavish lifestyle, to what he’s doing on his off days. Sometimes he even posts various clips of himself in training.

It’s no secret now that the most talked about fight in the world of combat sports is one between McGregor and Mayweather.

It’s the crossover bout with massive appeal because it pits the world’s best mixed martial artist against the world’s best boxer.

Conor McGregor seems to have improved on his boxing

That in and of itself is huge and if they ever put the fight together it would certainly make a lot of money.

I guess now we are closer to the fight happening than ever. UFC President Dana White says that it’s a fight that has to happen.

Both McGregor and Mayweather want the fight. It may be just a matter of time now before this mega crossover showdown is announced.

In a recent Instagram post by McGregor, he shows a clip of himself and a coach on a round of punch mitts.

What is surprising here is not that McGregor’s boxing skills seem to have improved, but that he throws in a few kicks here and there.

It would be absolutely absurd that McGregor would stand to gain anything from kicking Mayweather in a boxing match.

McGregor also throws in a few words as if speaking directly to Mayweather.

“Not much will change when I fight under the famed, yet very limited, Queensbury rules. No disrespect to single discipline fighters, from boxing to kicking to grappling, just know that understanding one style of fighting is simply not enough. You are lying to yourself. You are easily dismantled in a true fight. A fight with no rules to protect you. In a straight fight, you do not possess enough tools to keep you alive. You will be dismantled and killed. Like the late, great Bruce Lee once said: When you are talking about fighting, as it is, with no rules, well then baby, you’d better train every part of your body.”

If McGregor had it his way, he would fight Mayweather in the Octagon instead of in a boxing ring. But there is no way Mayweather agrees to that, having not had any interest to train in MMA whatsoever.

Outboxing Mayweather is absolutely out of the question. But if McGregor can just manage to land one good left hook, it could mean the end of Mayweather’s unblemished record.
