Damn! At 49 years old, former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson would still knock you the f*ck out!

The most feared boxer of the 80’s and 90’s, the heaviest hitting fighter of all-time, the youngest ever heavyweight champion, Mike Tyson is a living legend. Whether you are a fan or not, his influence on boxing through his career is undeniable.

Through all his glorious highs, there were a large amount of painful lows for Tyson throughout his entire fighting stint, and afterwards too. Losing his trainer, mentor and father figure Cus D’Amato when he was still young crushed ‘Kid Dynamite’ and he slowly began to fray at the edges.

After making a case as one of the greatest heavyweights of all time with a stellar 37-0 record, Tyson loss by shock knockouot to Buster Douglas.

He fought on, but a jail stint in the early 90’s meant he was never the same. Retiring in 2005, Tyson’s fight had only just begun. ‘Iron Mike’ recently admitted he had nearly drunk himself to death, and suddenly the boxing world realised they could lose their prodigal son.

Having received so much bad press during his time as a boxer, you’d think that perhaps the case would be the same now. Thankfully, with the support of the boxing community, Tyson is now back on his feet.
