It’s been a rough couple of week for Jon Jones. He’s been dragged through the mud by the media ever since being pulled from UFC 200. The troubled New Yorker was meant to face Daniel Cormier on the July 9 card, but USADA (United States Anti Doping Agency) put a stop to that.
His fairy tale comeback to the undisputed title was cancelled when news broke that ‘Bones’ ha failed a drug test on June 16. The story sent the mixed martial arts media in to a frenzy, and Jones as once again on familiar troubled grounds.
Tearful and apologetic in a press conference during the hectic fight week, Jon Jones claimed ignorance to the substance he tested positive for. Claiming it must have been a tainted supplement, ‘Bones’ never actually revealed what the substance was.
There’s been a lot of speculation as to why Jones failed the drug test. You’ll remember he got pretty huge before his fight with Ovince St-Preux at UFC 197.
So the speculation continued until today (Monday July 18, 2016) as we now know exactly what was in Jon Jones’ system when USADA came to town.
The results might shock you…
