It’s the Fight We Are All Waiting For and Now Nick Diaz Has Given His Reaction… It’s Not Looking Good for Conor McGregor…
If you’re not excited for Khabib Nurmagamedov vs Conor McGregor, are you even an MMA fan? Although as of yet there is no official agreement, it looks like the most likely and realistic fight for both men, as they set to end their feud in the old-fashioned way: with fists and fury.
The pair has an intense rivalry that basically culminated with Conor McGregor ending up in a Brooklyn jail cell after attacking a press bus carrying Nurmagamedov, with 20 Irish goons. Earlier in a week that rocked the UFC world, the Russian and his crew had intimidated McGregor’s teammate Artem Lobov.
Now Nick Diaz has given his reaction to the potential fight. The older Diaz brother was in attendance at the Gennady Golovkin vs Vanes Martirosyan fight. He spoke to boxing reporter Elie Seckback and gave his reaction.

Out of Action
Nick Diaz is a cult hero for UFC fans. Along with his brother Nate, he’s a vaunted member of the Skrap Pack, a group of badasses from Stockton, California who really don’t care what people think about them. It makes for hilarious and entertaining viewing unless you’re one of their opponents taking a ‘Stockton’ slap across the cheeks.
Diaz hasn’t fought since losing to Anderson Silva in 2015. That was overturned to a no-contest after Silva tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs, while Diaz’s sample revealed he had marijuana in his system. Although he is now cleared to fight by USADA, he has yet to make a return to action.

Reaction
As he was heavily involved in his brother Nate’s preparation for two fights against Conor McGregor, it’s fair to say that he’s quite familiar with the Irishman’s style. That seems to be why he’s favoring Nurmagamedov because McGregor just has too many weakness that can be exploited from the ground. He said:
“That’s going to be a tough fight for both people. There is a lot of pressure for one guy. Khabib’s supposed to win. Because a guy like Conor, it takes a long time to develop a formula to deal with someone like Georges St-Pierre or Khabib. There’s a certain formula you have to use. You can’t just lay on your back. You have to turn over and you have to know how to deal with stuff.”
McGregor struggled against Chad Mendes in the past and has been submitted once in his UFC career – by Nate Diaz – so it’s fair to expect that he’d be in trouble against a vicious wrestler like ‘The Eagle.’

Back Soon
Meanwhile, both of the Diaz brothers are being persistently linked to UFC returns. Nate is being relentlessly called out by Kevin Lee and expected to return this year. His last Octagon appearance was in the second McGregor fight back in 2016.
Nick is less predictable, however, teammate Jake Shields believes that the Californian will return to action. He’s been linked to a fight against Michael Bisping. The British former middleweight champion is up for it but thinks he’s too heavy for it to work. It remains to be seen when he’ll come back. Just feed him Georges St. Pierre.
