Former boxing champion Heather Hardy’s face has certainly undergone quite the change over the last few days…
Boxing queen Heather ‘The Heat’ Hardy was all set to have her hype train continue rolling at Bellator 185. Having already made her pro-MMA debut at Bellator 180, Hardy had started off well.
Smashing Alice Yauger in New York, Hardy’s smoking hot weigh-in for the June event made her a smash hit. Touted as ‘Bellator’s viral star,’ Hardy looked to be on course for a big win against Kristina Williams.
Williams was making her professional debut, and ‘The Heat’ was essentially meant to run right through her. That was the exact opposite of what transpired, as Williams put a bloody beating on Hardy.
Bellator’s red-hot prospect did go viral again, but this time she looked like something from a Halloween movie. Images like the brutal one below are still circulating like crazy on social media:

Update From Hardy
Having gone unbeaten during her boxing career, this is literally Heather Hardy’s first loss. That being said, she is taking it like a proper champion should. Nobody expected her to go into hiding, but it’s refreshing to see a prospect being honest and accepting of such a harrowing loss.
Here’s the latest update from Hardy, and her swelling has gone down quite nicely:
Two black eyes, nine stitches, and a broken nose. BUT!!! I ate some pizza and drank some wine. Back in the gym tomorrow! 👸🏼🍀❤️ pic.twitter.com/KDIl12Mieg

“I’m sorry I let everyone down. I gave it my all out there, and I truly hope it showed. I’d rather lose then give y’all a boring fight because I appreciate every one of you… sponsors, coaches, friends, family and fans… and the worst part was knowing I couldn’t get the job done for all of you.
“Congrats to a game Kristina Williams, who had an answer for everything I tried. OSU! . And incase everyone is wondering, YES, I will be back. Nothing will ever take the fight out of me, not even this broken nose. I knew coming into this new world I was taking a big risk, and this is all part of my journey. . You’ve all heard how resilient I am. Now watch me bounce back.”
