Georges St-Pierre’s Dad bod is no more, as the former welterweight champion emerges looking shredded for his middleweight title fight…
Ever since he stepped away from the sport in 2013, Georges St-Pierre has been on the edge of a comeback. It almost became a running joke after three years, the ‘GSP comeback’ was meant to happen, but just seemed to slip by every time.
As 2017 rolled around, fans began to question his potential return. Having reigned dominant over the welterweight division for years, ‘Rush’ certainly had nothing to prove. When he was finally confirmed for a comeback, it was fraught with setbacks in the initial stages.
Linked to a middleweight and welterweight title shot, GSP was on and off with Michael Bisping and Tyron Woodley. Eventually, after a humdrum performance by Woodley against Demian Maia, GSP got his comeback fight.
Middleweight champ ‘The Count’ will welcome St-Pierre back at UFC 217. Great news, except the following image of GSP looking like he was pregnant raised concerns:

GSP Looking Like a McDonalds Addict?!?
Admitting he was not impressed with his own physique, GSP vowed to work off his gut. Against Bisping, he faces not only a grizzled veteran but a man far bigger than anyone he’s faced previously.
Bisping’s insane cardio and work rate is unmatched in the UFC, so ‘Rush’ will have to be in prime condition. Fortunately, looking at St-Pierre’s Instagram, he appears to be in fantastic shape now:

Will GSP Overcome The Size of Bisping
St-Pierre was never a small welterweight, but Bisping was a light-heavyweight early in his career. With the size advantage in Bisping’s court, but the wrestling technique obviously in St-Pierre’s this could be an interesting fight.
Winning would plant St-Pierre in the elite few fighters to win belts in multiple weight classes. Already a legend in his own right, St-Pierre has conceded he’ll retire if Bisping beats him.

According to Bisping as per MMAFighting.com, GSP has been dragging his feet to ‘clear the steroids’ from his system:
When I’m training for a fight I’m very, very dedicated but of course, I’m not training for a fight because I don’t know whether it’s because Georges needs to clear the steroids out of his system before he enters the USADA testing pool. I don’t know what the reason is but that is definitely a potentially valid reason because you’ve got to get tested for six months before you come back and he did his best to delay it so maybe that was why.”
