Dana White and the UFC
The UFC president and the promotion he represents have been the subject of much scandal this year, more so than ever before. The UFC-Reebok deal has been the lead reason for the heavy criticism aimed at the organization, but there’s so much more.
Aside from blatantly taking money from the pockets of fighters with the Reebok saga, the UFC has dropped the ball a number of times regarding the announcement of failed drug tests. Opting to wait until said athlete has competed at their next event before making the announcement of a drug test pop is shady, at best.
Then there’s the controversy surrounding Vitor Belfort, as the promotion stands accused of allowing him to fight while they knew he was on steroids. Then there’s the stream of lies Dana White’s been spewing about the ‘home run’ Reebok deal and the GOAT Ronda Rousey.
Fans are becoming fed up with the bullsh*t now, and how about the lawsuit against Zuffa? That speaks for itself, but the UFC’s treatment of Jose Aldo has also alienated many fans.
Out of all the shambles and scandals of 2015, the UFC should be leading by example, not leading the pack of atrocities this year. Here’s to 2016!
