5. Jorge Masvidal

Al Iaquinta once referred to Jorge Masvidal as “the real Kimbo Slice”. It may have been the nicest thing Iaquinta has said about anyone.

What Iaquinta meant is that Masvidal is a street fighter who actually can fight. After all, Masvidal did defeat Kimbo’s protege “Ray” in a backyard brawl once (video below).

The 32-year old Cuban grew up in Miami, and started getting into scraps at an early age. He tried wrestling in high school but eventually got booted off the team for poor grades. He had his first pro bout at 19 years of age, and has made a career of fighting ever since.

Currently, Masvidal is on a 3-fight win streak, with victories over Ross Pearson, Jake Ellenburger, and most recently Donald Cerrone.
