1. Kimbo Slice
Kimbo Slice may not have been a very good MMA fighter, but by all accounts he seemed like a good guy. He rarely said a bad word about anyone, even his opponents, and even more rare was someone saying something negative about him (aside from his fighting). Even Dana White, who had been his most vocal critic, had nothing but positive things to say regarding Kimbo’s time on the Ultimate Fighter and his two fights in the UFC.
Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson became famous for his YouTube street brawling videos. He then parlayed that into a contract with EliteXC. After being exposed by Seth Petruzelli, Kimbo took up Dana White’s TUF challenge.
Slice lost to Roy Nelson in the TUF house, but then pulled off a surprise victory over Houston Alexander in 2009, before falling to Matt Mitrione in his final UFC bout at UFC 113.
Kimbo would defeat Ken Shamrock in a terrible fight at Bellator 138, before “winning” arguably the worst MMA bout of all time at Bellator 149.
Sadly, Kimbo would be dead just a few months after his bout with Dada 5000. He went into heart failure and died on June 5th 2016.
