4. Floyd’s Chances of Injury

Floyd Mayweather is a 40 year old man. There is something about crossing the 4th decade threshold that seems to cause havoc with the body. Things tear, break, snap, crackle and pop more often with increased age.

Floyd’s been retired for 2 years, and has most likely been eating whatever he wants. We don’t know how well he has been taking care of his body in the last 24 months, and how that will impact his ability to get through a fight camp injury-free.

During the bout, a guy in his 40s is fare more likely to sustain an injury than someone who is 29. Floyd could easily tear a muscle in camp or during the bout that would reduce his mobility. This would provide Conor with all the opportunity he needs.
