1. Conor McGregor v Nate Diaz

It surely has to be the biggest and best rivalry in UFC history. None of the others on this list had the same combination of cultural impact, shock factor and brilliant action. ‘The Notorious’ wasn’t even meant to fight Nate Diaz, who was a last-minute replacement for lightweight champ Rafael Dos Anjos. They fought twice, with Diaz stunning the world by beating the seemingly invincible McGregor by submission at UFC 198.

McGregor demanded and got a rematch. The two men threw down in a brutal, bloody war at UFC 202 that was afterwards voted by fans as the greatest fight of all time. Diaz was the perfect dance partner for McGregor. He matched him on the microphone and in the cage. A trilogy still could happen.
