8. Seth Petruzelli Knocks Out Kimbo Slice
It was the night that killed EliteXC. In fact, the promotion is the one who felt the heat of this embarrassment more than Kimbo Slice did. For Kimbo, he still got paid and would be off to the UFC following this bout. EliteXC would fold up its doors after Petruzelli let it be known the owners of the promotion offered him monetary compensation to keep the fight standing.
Petruzelli did keep the fight standing up until the end. He knocked out Kimbo Slice (and EliteXC in the process) just 14 seconds into Round 1 of their main event clash on October 4th, 2008.
