6. Kalib Starnes’ Loss to Nate Quarry at UFC 86
Kalib Starnes didn’t win over too many fans with his antics at UFC 86. Starnes, who would later claim he went into the fight injured, did his best “Running Man” during the fight in order to avoid his opponent. He was released following the bout.
Starnes never would return to the UFC after the bout. Following his loss to Quarry, Starnes went 9-8 in his MMA career. His last fight was in 2016, a loss to Tim Hague, who died last summer of a brain hemorrhage after being knocked out by Adam Braidwood in a boxing bout.
Starnes would later say this of the fight:
“I’ve learned a lot from that experience, I think I’ve grown a lot personally and as an athlete.”
