Bellator will have its first event after it was officially acquired by PFL last November. Bellator 302 will be the first in PFL’s Bellator Champions Series, which will be composed of eight global events with title fights. The promotion has already confirmed several bouts, and the Musavey vs. Davis is the latest to be confirmed.
Musayev will be coming from a two-fight winning streak under RIZIN after defeating Koji Takeda and Akira Okada at RIZIN LANDMARK 7 in Azerbaijan and Super RIZIN 2, respectively. This fight should help him get back to the winning streak in Bellator after losing to Alexander Shabliy via TKO during the promotion’s 292 event in March last year.
Meanwhile, Davis will come back to the cage sporting his wins from his last two fights in 2023 and 2022. “The Axe Man” won over Aalon Cruz and Thibault Gouti both via unanimous decision, but the upcoming match might give him a chance to make a finish this time.
The news follows the report about the headline fight between Corey Anderson and Karl Moore at the event. The two will fight for the vacant Bellator light heavyweight belt after Vadim Nemkov departed the division.
