The atmosphere, the anticipation and the turnout — this photo captures just how massive UFC 202 was and the drawing power of superstars Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz. Everyone was fixated on this event. I don’t think there is anybody who wasn’t watching this fight in one way, shape or form. The third and final deciding bout at lightweight should be even bigger.

War

And what a war it was. The main event lived up to the hype and fans were treated to an amazing display of heart and determination from both fighters. It was never going to be easy for McGregor. Diaz certainly didn’t make it easy for him. Both guys blasted each other with their best shots and it was such a spectacle to behold. Each of them were pushed to their absolute limit. Another round and one of these guys was going down.

Left Hand

Conor McGregor’s left hand and Nate Diaz’ granite-chin was the story in this fight, which led to three knockdowns. The Irishman’s laser-like sledgehammer left tagged Diaz repeatedly that it was a miracle the Stockton, CA native was able to remain on his feet.  Any other fighter would have gone down from those bombs. Diaz has one of the hardest chins in the history of the sport.

Victory

And it’s all over! Until the next fight, that is. This time McGregor gets his hands raised in victory and we are now tied at one win apiece. If you don’t believe this deserves a third bout, then you don’t know what you’re talking about because a rubber match is guaranteed.
