This weekend Tyron Woodley won the UFC Welterweight Championship by knocking out Robbie Lawler in the 1st round.  It was the 7th title change to take place in the UFC this year and it seemed to happen in a flash.

Woodley hadn’t fought in over a year and a half, spending a lot of time on the sidelines and stating publicly he deserved a title shot. That turned out to be a smart move for Woodley, who needed just over 2 minutes to hit Lawler on the chin with his right fist and take the title.

It goes to show how important it is to have enough power to be able to finish an opponent as dangerous as Lawler with just one punch. With one punch Tyron Woodley has earned a spot for himself in the history of UFC champions.

As a tribute to Woodley’s quick and powerful finish to Robbie Lawler here are the top 10 hardest hitters in MMA history.
