1. Dan Henderson vs. Shogun Rua 1
The first war between Henderson and ‘Shogun’ Rua at UFC 139 in 2011 was so good that the UFC inducted it into the ‘Fight Wing’ of their Hall of Fame last year. The fireworks started early with Henderson’s first punch rocking ‘Shogun’ and leaving him bloodied. He’d be dropped again soon after, only to then go on and send “Hendo” to the mat with a right hook later in the round.
The two stars continued to land blistering strikes in the round that followed. Hendo floored Rua again but couldn’t finish him. By the fourth round, both men were on the verge of exhaustion but weren’t backing down, and it was Rua who was starting to edge the action. In the final round, he managed to get on top early and rained down bombs on Hendo from full mount. The American UFC legend managed to ride out the storm and emerged with a unanimous decision victory in the greatest fight of the decade.
