3.  Karolina Kowalkieicz vs. Joanna Jedrzejcyk

Not sure exactly why this fight isn’t being held in Poland, as both fighters hail from there but evidently the UFC felt that this bout would do better in the mid-card of the company’s first MSG show.

This bout, which is easily the hardest to spell in MMA history, should produce fireworks in New York. Kowalkiewicz is undefeated and has been training in martial arts since she was 16. She first took up Krav Maga and Muay Thai before switching over the mixed martial arts. She won titles in Poland before moving to Invicta, where she won her only fight, and then was off to the UFC. Since debuting in the UFC, Kowalkiewicz has gone 3W-0L, including her last fight which was a split decision victory over “Thug” Rose Namajunas.

As for Jedrzejczyk she has cruised through the strawweight division ever since it came into existence. Joanna knocked out inaugural champion Carla Esparza, and has since defended the title 3 straight times, with wins over Jessica Penne, Valerie Letourneau and Claudia Gadelha.
