Angela Lee
ONE Championship’s female atomweight world champion is undefeated at 6-0, scoring five straight submission victories before winning the title last May by unanimous decision over a game Japanese veteran.
She’s 20-years old but with composure and skills beyond her years. Born in Canada, but raised in Waipahu, Hawaii, Angela is of Korean and Singaporean descent. She splits training between United MMA in Hawaii and Evolve MMA in Singapore and is one of the most complete female fighters in Asia seemingly without peer.
Angela is young, for sure, and it will be a few years before the rest of the world catches on to her rising star, but in the meantime, Asian fans have it really good.
