Michelle Waterson
While technically not based in Asia, Michelle Waterson is perhaps the epitome of a self-empowered woman and genuine ass kicker in the world of mixed martial arts. Nicknamed “The Karate Hottie”, Michelle is truly a sight to behold.
She made her MMA debut in 2007 with a unanimous decision win over Andrea Miller, and has since then amassed a 13-4 professional record. Michelle made a name for herself competing in the all-girl promotion Invicta FC but signed with the UFC in 2015, winning in her promotional debut against Angela Magana at the Ultimate Fighter 21 Finale.
Michelle gave birth to a daughter in 2011, and took some time away from the cage to care for her child, but in little to no time at all, she was back on the grind and resumed her career with a stunning first round Rear-Naked Choke sub over Diana Reel.
She is part Thai and a Karate practitioner with a black belt, also adept at Wushu and Muay Thai.
