UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley is not giving up on his crusade to fight Nate Diaz. During his latest rant, ‘The Chosen One’ sent out a very dark threat…

Since defeating Conor McGregor at UFC 196, Nate Diaz has found himself in a strange position with his employers. After submitting the UFC’s prime cash cow on short notice, Diaz provided insight into the UFC’s tactics they would never want to be released.

Claiming they were ‘holding him back’ and making a mockery of the sport, Diaz opened a can of worms the promotion couldn’t close. They had to get Diaz vs. McGregor 2, at all costs.

Allegedly causing UFC president Dana White to storm out of a meeting, Diaz’s demands were hefty. Eventually, they came to an agreement, and McGregor managed to eek past Diaz at UFC 202.

Since that August 206 war, Diaz has lived a life of leisure. Until this month it looked as though he might well retire.

The Bad Boy Returns?

When news broke that Diaz was linked to a welterweight title fight, we assumed the promotion was blocking a trilogy fight with Conor McGregor. As it turned out, ‘The Notorious’ was involved in his own contract negotiations.

According to John Kavanagh, McGregor is going to be out of MMA action for at least six months. Then came the trash talk from Woodley, as it sounded like Diaz wasn’t interested in the fight at UFC 219.

Diaz trolled the UFC with his Eminem-inspired ‘without me’ post on Instagram, but Woodley hasn’t been as cryptic. Check out his latest rant, courtesy of LowKick MMA:

Don’t Be Scared Homie

“I’m fired up about people that tell you ‘Don’t be scared, homie,’ and then they’re scared, homie! That’s what I’m fired up about,” said Woodley (transcript courtesy of MMA Fighting).

“[It’s] not a possible fight, [it’s] a 50-percent completed fight. You got one half of the party that’s been offered, that’s accepted, that’s out here with their bag at Wildcard Boxing getting punched by world champions, and then you got the other side that’s got a whole bunch of excuses. So that’s what I’m kind of fired up about.”

“Get off the pot, quit crapping yourself, you’ve done took plenty of butt-whoopings before, this ain’t gonna be anything different, get your big paycheck, and drift off into the fog.

“If there’s any fighter that I think that I can fight with my shoulder, not 100 percent, it’s that dude. That dude on the other side of the camera that won’t sign the contract that’s always saying ‘Don’t be scared, homie’ and walking around in black V-necks acting tough. Bring it over this way, and I’m gonna Ferguson stomp him.”

“[The problem is that Nate Diaz] is scared. Guys in our sport pump their gums quite a bit, and they get you to think that they’re these huge, tough guys, they’re these gangsters, that they’ll fight anybody, anytime. Then when you get in front of a person like me, then the crickets come out. Then they don’t really want to fight. It happened with Bisping, it happened with Georges St-Pierre, it happened with Conor McGregor, it happened with Nick Diaz, big brother, and now it’s happening with baby brother, so I guess it’s in the bloodline.”
