In preparation for the UFC on ESPN 52 event, UFC fighters who will be fighting in Austin this Saturday attended the weigh-in ceremony of the promotion.
There are some interesting points to highlight in the event, including the flawless weigh-in result of all fighters who managed to meet their required weights in their respective divisions. That includes Beneil Dariush and Arman Tsarukyan, who will fight in the event’s lightweight main card, and Bobby Green and Jalin Turner, who will be the event’s lightweight co-feature. Interestingly, despite stepping in on short notice, Turner managed to hit the mark.
Deiveson Figueiredo, who moved from flyweight to bantamweight to face Rob Font, also passed the weigh-in ceremony. Also, Kelvin Gastelum finally passed the weight requirement for the first time in nine years.
Unfortunately, UFC confirmed the bout cancellation of Steve Garcia and Melquizael Costa, with the former being sick.
