Chase Hooper made a quick victory at UFC Fight Night 232 after successfully submitting Jordan Leavitt through a rear-naked choke.

The success, nonetheless, didn’t come without any struggle for Hooper.

The two fighters threw themselves into a scramble, which lasted for minutes. Both sides exchanged dominance during the round, resulting in near submissions. During the first part of the grapples, Hooper managed to be in the position to trap Leavitt, but the latter escaped from the position. In the end, however, the battle on the ground continued, and Hooper prevailed. At the 2:58 mark of Round 1, Leavitt was forced to tap and submit.

With the result, Hooper gets a new record of 13-3-1 MMA/5-3 UFC, while Leavitt gets Leavitt 11-3 MMA/4-3 UFC. This follows Hooper’s earlier victory over Nick Fiore in May.
