Wanderlei Silva Gives Update After Being Run Over By Car

Speaking in a post to his many Instagram followers, Wanderlei Silva reveals he ‘nearly died’ during the recent accident. Here’s the translation:

All told me I’m extreme, 100%, all telling me my bike was dangerous, and I believe in the right to come and go, it was the same for all cars, pedestrians and bikes, more felt on the skin but it’s not so, I suffered a serious accident, where I will have to operate on my shoulder and my left knee, a guy who saw said “vc born again” and the guy that hit me did not stop to help me !!! I am very sad because I could have died if my helmet came to break, if it did, do not know what could have happened, then I thought, how many cyclists are killed every day and no one speaks, how many are bowled over as I went and no one does anything! This happened in Curitiba, “model city” who have greatly improve the condition given to cyclists because the bike is a vehicle like any other, and deserves the same rights! I am very sad about this happened!
