When playing touch-butt in the park goes wrong…

We’ve talked a lot recently about fake martial artists, more specifically ‘McDojo’s’ and their impact on modern culture. These phoney martial artists are often so good at their cons that they help suck dry the bank accounts of hard working, but somewhat gullible students.

If you preach something with enough conviction, you can pretty much get folks to do whatever you please. This is too often the case when talking about fake martial arts and clubs/gyms associated with the styles.

Pictured above is George Dillman, and he’s a great example of the topic we are discussing today. Dillman has been around the American martial arts scene since the 1960’s, and actually used to have a reputation as a legitimate instructor.

Even once training Muhammad Ali in the art of Kempo Karate, Dillman’s influence in the boom of martial arts state side is undeniable. But there came a point that Dillman lost his mind and began teaching a style of ‘no touch’ martial arts.

So sold on his own ‘bullshido’ was Dillman that he actually went on national television to attempt his ‘no touch’ knockouts on the presenters of National Geographic. Of course it did not work, and the humiliation for Dillman was apparent.

But the video on page 2 is so much worse for the fake martial artist involved. Not only does he get exposed, but he stupidly challenged an actual MMA fighter to test his ‘skills’ on.
