Joe Rogan has recently admitted, that his time with the UFC could be drawing to a close. His contract expires in August and he is unsure as to whether he will renew or not. What he does know is that should the UFC sell, he is gone for sure.
Rogan has become iconic within MMA circles and is one of the faces of the UFC, due to his excitable personality and engaging commentary skills. The renaissance man always has several ventures on the go at any time. At the moment he has the UFC, his podcast and his stand-up comedy. At 48 years old, perhaps Rogan feels like it’s time to dial it back a bit.
His podcast, the Joe Rogan Experience, is one of the most successful podcasts available at the moment and he is still a sell-out comedian, when on tour. It’s not as if he needs to continue to do commentary for the UFC.
The comedian is however, very close friends with Dana White and has been working for the promotion on and off for almost 20 years. If he were to leave he would be sorely missed. His reaction to the Andrei Arlovski vs Travis Browne fight epitomises what we love about Joe Rogan.
